History, A Lebanese Icon
Timeless and elegant, was a classic from the day it opened. That was in 1951. At the time, Lebanon was newly independent and was its newest, most luxurious hotel. A favourite retreat for royalty, presidents and politicians of every stripe, has always been the place where conferences were held, treaties were signed and history was made. For our guests too, the hotel has been a place to make history, a place to celebrate weddings, anniversaries, the birth of their children and eventually, their children’s weddings too.
